Summer Update!

These past few summer months have been CRAZY and so exciting!!! In July we celebrated Charli Kaye's 1st Birthday (twice)! On Friday July 23rd (CK's actual bday) we had a Luau for her! We had so much fun with friends and family!!! I forgot how hot it can be in the South during the summer but we just stayed in the pool and everything was GREAT!!!
On Saturday the 24th Grant & I headed to Destin, FL to meet up with some of our DEAR friends!!! We had an "adults" only trip & it was FABULOUS!!!! It was a great vacation but I was so ready to get back to my little girl! Upon returning to Arkansas, Grant headed back to Colorado & Charli Kaye and I stayed a couple more days to visit. During this visit we got to celebrate Emily's (my niece)5th birthday!!! This was extra special because this was the first birthday, other than the day she was born, that we got to be there.
Charli Kaye & I headed back to COOL WEATHER & NO HUMIDITY on Saturday August 7th & began preparation for Charli Kaye's second 1st birthday! The theme for this party was Candyland. I had so much fun decorating for this party & I couldn't have done it without all of my AMAZING friends!!!

Height: 30 inches (75%)
Weight: 23 lbs 10 oz (90%)
Teeth: 4 top teeth (all 4 are currently "growing in"); 4 bottom teeth (2 of these are currently "growing in")
Walking: She can walk; however, she chooses when & how far she wants. She WILL not walk on command or even for a polite request!
Talking: 2 word sentences are a regular around here:
"Hi Boo-Boo" (FAVORITE thing to say), "Hi Bella", "Hi DaDa" (other favorite)
"Hi MaMa", "tank u" (thank you), "la u" (love you), "Go Nite Nite"
Individual words:
"ball", "more", "no", "yes", "hi" "bye-bye", "dog", etc.
Sound Imitations: These are some of my FAVORITE things Charli Kaye does!!!
Lion, puppy, chicken, monkey, fish, DaDa,MaMa, Miss Jordan (baby-
sitter), kisses, etc.
FAVORITE CHARLI KAYE "TRICK"Anytime we sit down to eat or if you ask Charli Kaye if she wants to "Talk to GOD" she folds her hands and waits for you to pray! What a blessing!!! Sometimes we will be in the middle of playing and she will stop and fold her hands and wait for me to pray!!! I love the innocence she has and the blessings she brings to my life!!!

This past Sunday we had a flag football game to "Kick-off" football season (fall). Abi, Charli Kaye, & I decided we were going to "GO ALL OUT" so we made shirts & dressed the part! We decided to call ourselves the BONE CRUSHERS!!! We had a GREAT time and everyone was deathly afraid of us!!!

Charli Kaye Walking

Yesterday when I was folding the laundry Charli Kaye crawled over to me and accidentally pushed the laundry basket (basket on wheels) and it moved. I didn't think anything about it until she stood up and grabbed it with both hands and started walking across the kitchen. I recorded her walking through the house with the laundry basket & then decided that she needed a REAL walker rather than her bootleg one! When she saw the walker last night she got so excited and just took off through the house and down the hall. I can't believe how big she is getting!!!



This year has been the best year of my life & I know that it is only going to get better! God has blessed me with such a beautiful & healthy family & I can not thank him ENOUGH!

Charli Kaye is 11 Months Old!!!

Today Charli Kaye turned 11 months old!!!
Its crazy how time flies!
Charli Kaye is almost walking...she can go anywhere with just a finger to hold onto!
She is constantly pulling up on the couch and walking from one end to the next...she is getting so big! We just got back from a FABULOUS trip home to visit friends & family. We started our trip in Louisiana where we got to visit all our CMM friends, Broadmoor friends & JuJu (we missed you PaPa T). We then headed to Arkansas to see the rest of the fam!!! Uncle Jonathan & Aunt Karen brought Emma down to play with Charli Kaye...it was SO much fun (wish you lived closer). We also got to visit with Matt, Julie, Justin, & Andrea and MEET Brinkley for the first time! God has truely blessed us with such wonderful friends & family! Although the trips were short we had so much fun & can't wait to see you all again! We love you all!!!!
