This is Just the Beginning!

Last weekend when Papa D was here Charli Kaye decided to REALLY start crawling. Before he arrived she would crawl two steps then stop and roll; however, apparently she wanted to show out. Before Papa D left she was all over the living room & now I'm having a hard time keeping her in the living room.

Aunt Sissy & Daddy decided to get PaPa D a plane ticket to come visit for his (early) birthday present! We have had so much fun!!! Today we went to go visit the Air Force Academy and took lots of pics. Here are some pictures of the Chapel & Visitor Center.

Happy Mother's Day!!!!!!

I had a wonderful Mother's Day!!! We took some pictures outside because the day was absolutely beautiful...it was 75 degrees and sunny!!! Charli Kaye decided to take a few crawl "steps" yesterday, it was the BEST thing she could have given me!!!

Trip Home For Spring Break

Charli Kaye & I went home for a couple of weeks for Spring Break & Easter!
We had so much fun!!! We went to the zoo, had several Easter egg hunts, and visited dear family & friends. We love you all & can't wait to come back in May to meet Lucas Anthony Baggett!!!

St. Patrick's Day Parade 2010

Grant, Charli Kaye, & I went to the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade in downtown Colorado Springs...and Charli Kaye LOVED it(for the parts that she was awake)! Her favorite attraction was the parade of bagpippers!!! It was so funny to watch her eyes follow the bagpipers as she tried to figure out what they were doing. After a few pics she fell asleep, so Grant & I enjoyed the rest of the day and warm sunshine!

Charli Kaye is 7 months!!!

Well the last few weeks have been EXTREMELY busy...I have kept Momma on her toes!!!
For the past month or so I have been saying..."MaaaMmmmAaaa" when I cry; however, Daddy said this didn't count so just to show them I could do it I said "Momma" on Sunday. We were visiting friends from Shreveport (in Winter Park) and they ALL heard me so Daddy couldn't deny it anymore!
I have also been trying to crawl...I am VERY close. I can go backward without any problems but it is the forward direction that I am trying to figure out. (Sometimes I use my head to help.) Hopefully when I go visit my Pa, NeNe, PaPa D, Nanny, & Gamma I will be able to crawl so that I can explore!

Yesterday I was trying to record Charli Kaye trying to crawl; however, I caught her and Bella "fighting" over the same toy. You can't see it in the video but the toy is an "IT" doll from Dr. Suess. The small toy was ORIGINALLY Charli Kaye's but Bella found it on the floor one day several months ago and it has been her favorite toy ever sense. I was cracking up as I watched the two of them "bother" one another over the toy. Bella kept looking at me as if she was asking me to "please get this KID to leave me alone." Bella usually plays this keep away game with us where she will growl at us as we "try" to get her toy but I think that this growl was partially fun and partially serious (but we know Bella would never hurt Charli Kaye).
